Enabling high signal performances and new capabilities in a compact footprint!
June 6, 2024 – Geneva, Switzerland – Acqiris has introduced SA3 a new 12-bit versatile data acquisition (DAQ) card generation, accurately capturing waveforms on a large bandwidth up to 2.4 GHz, by sampling from 1.5 GS/s up to 6.25 GS/s on up to three channels.
The SA3 DAQ family offers high resolution, fast data rate, and unique application-dedicated real-time processing, addressing challenging signal acquisition requirements from Time-Of-flight Mass-Spectrometry (TOFMS), Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomography (SS-OCT), Fiber Optic Sensing, Ultrasounds, Non-Destructive Test, LiDAR or other laser systems. As a single slot PCIe card or a serial module, it provides a compact, flexible, low consumption and cost-effective solution to OEMs.
Based on the latest ADC technology, the SA3 implements an innovative proprietary low-noise front-end, with low-voltage range inputs (400 mV, 800 mV or 1.1V), fitting the state-of-the-art detectors. “Combined with Acqiris AQTOF Solutions dedicated to TOFMS, the SA3 DAQ can efficiently capture small and fast pulses (FWHM < 1ns), analyze them continuously in the FPGA, and extract their key parameters, while sustaining high peak-densities.” noted Pierre-François Maistre, CTO at Acqiris. “Regarding the interface, in addition to the standard digital IOs, the three embedded programmable pulse generator outputs bring new synchronization capabilities, such as pulse timing control.”
The 3-channel version of the SA3 has been fine tuned for SS-OCT imaging: acquiring simultaneously 2 OCT channels and the k-clock, it answers needs from next generation Polarized-OCT systems. Acqiris DAQ solution enables deeper and faster analysis (up to 2 MHz scan rate) with minimum jitter and artifacts, resulting in a better image quality for OCT medical or industrial devices, especially in phase sensitive applications.
This new DAQ family completes Acqiris portfolio with a high-performance 12-bit technology. As for the 14-bit SA2 and 8-bit SA1 platforms, the SA3 architecture is optimized to make customizations easy including an applicative IO mezzanine and the support of open FPGA capabilities through our FDK – Firmware Development Kit.
