1. Achieve accuracy and throughput in mass measurement
Two key TOF-MS characteristics are the accuracy of the mass measurement or charge-to-mass ratio (m/z) and the data throughput or time to measurement.
More than a signal acquisition card, Acqiris aims at improving the signal performances of your complete TOF-MS system.
Mass accuracy: The sampling rate (SR) is a fundamental feature. Acqiris offers a range of products with SR from 500 MS/s and up to 10 GS/s. The customers can always find the appropriate Acqiris solution that will precisely measure the pulse amplitude as a function of the system and detector pulse width.
Mass Resolution: This very much depends on the bandwidth (BW), the sampling rate (SR) and the flight time. High Mass Resolution implies that the signal acquisition card shall not contribute to enlarge the detector pulse width FWHM (Full Width at Half Maximum).
Mass Sensitivity: The Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) limits the lowest concentration of a substance where the signal can be distinguished from system noise. Averaging multiple acquisitions can be used to improve the SNR but not it is not always possible, and it lengthens the time to measurement. With proprietary analog design and specific TOF-MS on-board processing, Acqiris provides solutions with the lowest possible SNR.

You select the version that either provides fewer constraints on your external processors, or that ensures easy design upgrades by “leveraging” a large part of your existing systems.
